Softball Recap: Hokes Bluff Eagles vs. Glencoe Yellowjackets
Hokes Bluff was the 10-2 winner over Glencoe when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hokes Bluff Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glencoe Yellowjackets on Thursday. Hokes Bluff has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Abby Payne was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a stolen base.
Hokes Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12-1. As for Glencoe, they pushed their record up to 13-14 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hokes Bluff is on the road again on Tuesday to play Cherokee County at 4:30 p.m. As for Glencoe, they will face off against Jacksonville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
