Preview: Alief Taylor Lions vs. Pearland Oilers
Alief Taylor has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Pearland Oilers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Alief Taylor came up short against Strake Jesuit and fell 24-15. Alief Taylor was down 24-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Alief Taylor's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jaxson Adeoye, who rushed for 124 yards.
Meanwhile, Pearland unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Dawson on the road by a decisive 21-7 margin. Having soared to a lofty 73 points in the game before, Pearland couldn't push the score so high this time.
The losing side was boosted by Ladamion Mcdowell, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Alief Taylor now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Pearland, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Alief Taylor came up short against Pearland in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 27-16. Will Alief Taylor have more luck at home instead of on the road?
