Shadow Mountain is a perfect 5-0 against Coronado since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Matadors will square off against the Dons at 4:00 p.m. Shadow Mountain will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Wednesday, Shadow Mountain made easy work of Dysart and carried off a 16-6 victory. Considering the Matadors have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kendal Buck, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Chloe Stumbo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Shadow Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Coronado lost 17-2 to Glendale on Tuesday.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Shadow Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything went Shadow Mountain's way against Coronado in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Shadow Mountain made off with a 22-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
