Seton Catholic Central is 8-2 against the Eagles since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Seton Catholic Central Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Chazy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Seton Catholic Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
After a string of four wins, Seton Catholic Central's good fortune finally ran out. The contest between them and Northern Adirondack wasn't particularly close, with Seton Catholic Central falling 58-39.
The losing side was boosted by Grace Trombley, who scored 23 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Langlois, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Chazy can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past Willsboro Central 56-14 at home. Given Chazy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Warriors are ranked 631st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Carly LaPierre, who scored 17 points. Audrey Langlois was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Seton Catholic Central's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for Chazy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Seton Catholic Central came up short against the Eagles when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 40-31. Can Seton Catholic Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
