Softball Game Preview: Chowchilla Tribe vs. Yosemite Badgers

The Chowchilla Tribe will take on the Yosemite Badgers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chowchilla has five straight wins, Yosemite has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Chowchilla made easy work of Minarets and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Tribe have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kasey Vlot was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Carsyn Vlot, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Chowchilla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in 13 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Yosemite's offense. They lost 18-0 to Liberty on Friday.

Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 15-6-1. As for Yosemite, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Chowchilla got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Yosemite by a conclusive 20-1 score. Do the Tribe have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
