Softball Recap: Corcoran Comes Up Short

Corcoran and Strathmore squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Corcoran had to settle for second. They fell 5-2 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Corcoran has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Strathmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Corcoran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Strathmore, they will welcome Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Spartans have won three straight at home, while the Rough Riders won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
