Basketball Recap: Paul Robeson Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Paul Robeson extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Kobe Butler. The Paul Robeson Huskies blew past the Academy at Palumbo Griffin 71-50 on Tuesday thanks in part to Butler, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jasir Tyler, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 assists and nine steals. Tyler is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.

Academy at Palumbo lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Matthew Brown, who posted 14 points. William Garwood was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Paul Robeson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Academy at Palumbo, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Paul Robeson has already played their next game, a 71-63 loss against Carver High School of Engineering & Science on the 31st. As for Academy at Palumbo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-45 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 30th.
