While West Branch's  victory against Carrollton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. West Branch narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past Carrollton  10-8. West Branch hasn't had any issues with Carrollton recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
  Josie Milliken and  Mati Hawk did most of the damage at the plate:  Milliken  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI, while  Hawk  went 2-for-5 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Addi Craven was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
West Branch's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Carrollton, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch will challenge St. Vincent-St. Mary at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Carrollton, they will take on Tuscarawas Valley at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
