Baseball Recap: Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha Triumphs

While Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha's victory against Kennedy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates skirted past the Eagles 6-5. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kennedy Capp was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

The win got Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha back to even at 1-1. As for Kennedy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha will square off against rival Fridley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to take on their familiar foe Robbinsdale Cooper at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
