Baseball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

If Seymour was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Electra last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Petrolia Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Petrolia, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seymour will face off against rival Olney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Petrolia is set to take on their familiar foe Windthorst at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
