Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mason Comets, falling 3-0. The Big Blue were not able to make up for their defeat to the Comets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Leading Mason to victory were Ella Groff and Addy Bianchini. Groff had 11 digs and four assists, while Bianchini hit 88.9% for eight kills and 11 digs and three aces. Bianchini has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 17 times she's played.

With the loss, Hamilton broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for Mason, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Princeton on the 14th. As for Mason, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Turpin on the 11th.
