Softball Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss

Evergreen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Gunderson Grizzlies, falling 21-11. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ariella Solorio made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jenna De La Herran, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one stolen base.

Evergreen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gunderson, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Evergreen Valley has already played their next match, a 17-1 victory against Overfelt on the 21st. As for Gunderson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-4 win against James Lick on the 21st.
