Basketball Game Preview: Concord Yellowjackets vs. Hillsdale Academy Colts

The Concord Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hillsdale Academy Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Concord's tournament run continued when they took on Will Carleton Academy on Wednesday. Concord blew past Will Carleton Academy, posting a 71-25 win. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th in Michigan, while the Cougars are ranked 580th in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rangers as they made off with a 56-30 victory. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Concord pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for Hillsdale Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
