After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baker, Davidson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Murphy Panthers as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten runs or more this season.

Sophia Edmonson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Edmonson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Davidson got a massive performance out of Whisper Saunders, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Saunders a new career-high. Oashia Scurlock was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Davidson pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Murphy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.
