Softball Recap: Kaiser Cats vs. Carter Lions
After flying high against Rialto on Friday, Kaiser came back down to earth. The Cats fell just short of the Carter Lions by a score of 11-10 on Monday. The Cats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 8-6.
Alyssa Montoya was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Davis, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Kaiser's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Carter, their record is now 4-9.
Looking ahead, Kaiser will challenge Summit at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
