Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Seckinger Jaguars
It was a good run, but the M.L. King Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 66-58 to Seckinger. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
M.L. King's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who scored 22 points along with five assists, and Quamon Ellison who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Ruzvidzo jr. is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaleon Johnson, who scored four points along with four steals.
M.L. King's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Seckinger, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
M.L. King is on the road again on Thursday and play against Troup County at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Seckinger and Walton will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Walton is ranked 37th, while Seckinger is ranked 50th).
