Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Hershey Panthers

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Hershey Panthers, falling 11-1. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kianna Clouse, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Hershey, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

Lexington will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cozad at 7:00 p.m. Lexington has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hershey, they will face off against Holyoke at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Holyoke is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
