Philip Simmons has no trouble against Battery Creek

The Philip Simmons Iron Horses lost to the Battery Creek Dolphins back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Philip Simmons enjoyed a cozy 57-38 win over Battery Creek. That's two games straight that Philip Simmons has won by exactly 19 points.

Robert Watson was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Darby, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Battery Creek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alizjah Mathis, who scored 11 points along with three steals, and Ethan White who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. Mathis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Ethan Cox was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds.

Philip Simmons pushed their record up to 14-10 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Battery Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Philip Simmons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Battery Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hanahan at 7:30 p.m. Battery Creek is facing Hanahan at the right time seeing as Hanahan is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
