Salem Hills has gone 8-2 against Springville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will head out to take on the Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. Salem Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Salem Hills needed a bit of extra time to put away Spanish Fork. They had just enough and edged out the Dons 7-6. That's two games straight that the Skyhawks have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Guss Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Cloward, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springville). They walked away with a 14-10 win over Cedar Valley on Monday. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Aviators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kaden Tingey was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bradley Reed also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Springville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Salem Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Springville, their record is now 6-11.

Salem Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Springville when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skyhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
