Softball Recap: Bridgeport Takes a Loss

Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Preston Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by just one run.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Preston, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bridgeport is set to challenge their familiar foe North Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Preston will square off against rival Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
