Basketball Recap: Genesee Comes Up Short

Genesee lost against Deary back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Genesee Bulldogs took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deary Mustangs.

Despite the loss, Genesee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Bollman went 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Bollman's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Genesee now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Deary, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Genesee will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John Bosco Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering Genesee has lost ten straight at home (dating back to last season) and St. John Bosco Academy three straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. Deary and Potlatch will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Potlatch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
