Softball Game Preview: Skyview Hawks vs. Idaho Falls Tigers

The Skyview Hawks will take on the Idaho Falls Tigers in a tournament on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Skyview came up short against Eagle on Wednesday, falling 9-1.

Makayla Lytle was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Idaho Falls fell victim to Owyhee and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Storm. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Idaho Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything went Skyview's way against Idaho Falls when the teams last played back in March of 2021, as Skyview made off with a 16-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyview since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
