Baseball Game Preview: St. Charles East Fighting Saints vs. Lake Park Lancers

For the second straight game, St. Charles East will face off against Lake Park. The Fighting Saints will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in St. Charles East's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lake Park has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, St. Charles East came up short against Lake Park and fell 8-3.

For Lake Park's part, Anrhony Durava tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Durava also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Lancers are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Robert Munaco, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 11 contests. Tommy Pruyn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

However, it's not like Lake Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts.
