Preview: East Orange Campus Jaguars vs. Barringer Blue Bears
East Orange Campus is 9-0 against Barringer since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on November 23rd. After both having extra time off, the pair will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another. Barringer took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on East Orange Campus, who comes in off a win.
Two weeks ago, while East Orange Campus put up plenty of points, the same can't be said for West Side. East Orange Campus beat West Side by the very same score they won with last week: 40-0. The result was nothing new for East Orange Campus, who have now won three games by 35 points or more so far this season.
Kyree Fisher was on fire: he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Shakur Taylor was in the mix too, providing East Orange Campus with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Barringer's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 28-8 loss at the hands of Central.
East Orange Campus' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Barringer, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for East Orange Campus against Barringer when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 38-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Orange Campus since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
