Volleyball Recap: Katie Zotov Key Part of Team Effort in Bears Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Blue Ridge Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Redeemer Classical Griffins 3-0 on Monday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Blue Ridge Christian took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-12, 25-11.

Blue Ridge Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Zotov, who had six digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Holly McAdams, who had six digs and two aces.

Blue Ridge Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Redeemer Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Blue Ridge Christian will take on Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Redeemer Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
