Basketball Recap: Lisbon Comes Up Short

Lisbon lost against Winthrop back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lisbon Greyhounds received a blow as they fell 52-33 to the Winthrop Ramblers. The Greyhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Winthrop, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Lisbon will challenge Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spruce Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lisbon likes a good challenge. As for Winthrop, they are taking a road trip to take on Maranacook at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
