Soccer Recap: Crete-Monee Comes Up Short

Crete-Monee lost against Bloom back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors came up short against the Blazing Trojan, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Crete-Monee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 338th, while Bloom are ranked 92nd).

Crete-Monee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-8. As for Bloom, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Crete-Monee wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Westinghouse on the 12th. As for Bloom, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Mather on the 12th.
