Soccer Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

If Bowie was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Austin last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bowie Bulldogs fell just short of the Lake Travis Cavaliers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Evan Duranguet, who's now up to three this season.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lake Travis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bowie and Lake Travis will both be playing Del Valle the next time they take the pitch. Bowie will head out to face Del Valle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Lake Travis will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th.
