League recap: Sylmar's Razo delivers best pitching performance from past week

Valley Mission league recap: 3/27/13

Mark Razo was the top pitcher in Valley Mission this week, leading Sylmar. Over the past week, he had one win and ten Ks.

San Fernando outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its four total wins led the league. The Tigers beat Palo Verde 6-3, Van Nuys 8-1, Faith Lutheran 3-2 and Poly 3-0.

Reseda continues to keep batters at bay this week, surrendering only five hits in the past week, good for best in the league. The Regents have surrendered a mere ten hits this season in three games.

There were five hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Bradley Potter, who hit .500 by going 2-for-4.

Jose Holguin's eight RBIs this week put him at the number one spot for the league. Holguin has 11 RBIs this season, first in the league.



Holguin drove in five runners on Monday in Sylmar's 10-0 victory over Hollywood. He went 2-for-2 and scored two runs.

Reseda's Jesse Medina threw five shutout innings in a 10-0 win over Canoga Park on Thursday. He pitched five scoreless innings and struck out ten, while giving up two hits.
