Basketball Recap: Moreno Valley Vikings vs. Norte Vista Braves
After a string of four wins, Moreno Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 62-54 to the Norte Vista Braves. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while the Braves are ranked 217th).

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyetice Hayes, who posted 11 points and four steals. Moreno Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Norte Vista, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
Moreno Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-46 loss against Liberty on the 7th. As for Norte Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 92-59 win against Patriot on the 7th.
