Softball Recap: Adrian Takes a Loss

If Adrian was feeling good fresh off their 11-5 takedown of Archie last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackhawks came up short against the Lone Jack Mules on Thursday, falling 15-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lilly Talley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Emily McCammon was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Adrian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Lone Jack, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

While Adrian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
