Basketball Game Preview: Litchfield Terriers vs. Pittsford Wildcats

Litchfield hasn't had much luck against Pittsford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Litchfield Terriers will head out to challenge the Pittsford Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Litchfield is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Tekonsha.

Meanwhile, Pittsford put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 53-27 margin over Waldron. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Spartans are ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pittsford pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Litchfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Litchfield was taken down by Pittsford 46-17 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Litchfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
