Baseball Recap: Sissonville Indians vs. Hoover Huskies

Sissonville easily dispatched Princeton on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Indians fell just short of the Hoover Huskies by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eli Simonton put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
