Baseball Recap: King's Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

King's Academy entered their tilt with Carolina Academy on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 7-4. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 18-1 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Brayden Grier made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Grier wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cole Turner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Turner has posted since back in April of 2024. K Patel also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

King's Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Carolina Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

King's Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carolina Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
