Baseball Recap: Brick Township Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Brick Township came out on top against Jackson Memorial on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Green Dragons walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Jaguars. This was payback for the Green Dragons, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Pat Shave looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chris Quick, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Peyton Horning, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.
