Basketball Recap: Creekside Seminoles vs. Pace Academy Knights
Creekside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Pace Academy Knights 78-34. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Knights are ranked 15th).
Despite the defeat, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daylen Jones posted 16 points.
Leading Pace Academy to victory were Eric Chatfield and Bentley Lusakueno. Chatfield went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Lusakueno went 7 for 8 en route to 15 points and seven boards. What's more, Lusakueno also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Ferry, who earned eight points.
Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Pace Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
