Baseball Recap: Ferguson Find Success

Ferguson's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Killian Cougars 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

On the hitting side, Ferguson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Gomez a new career-high.

Ferguson's record now sits at 9-12. As for Killian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Ferguson will face off against Coral Gables at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Killian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gulliver Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
