Softball Recap: Narragansett Regional's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After flying high against Bromfield on Thursday, Narragansett Regional came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs by a score of 10-9 on Monday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lacey Beauregard was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Hunt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Narragansett Regional fell to 6-1. As for Montachusett RVT, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Narragansett Regional will take on Maynard at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montachusett RVT, they will square off against Greater Lowell Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gryphons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
