Soccer Game Preview: Payette vs. Emmett

The Payette Pirates will square off against the Emmett Huskies at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Payette's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Payette fell victim to The Ambrose School and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Archers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Emmett was not quite Parma's equal in the second half on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-2. Emmett have struggled against Parma recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-2. As for Emmett, they now have a losing record of 3-4-3.
