Softball Recap: Monterey Trail Takes a Loss

Monterey Trail lost against Pleasant Grove back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Monterey Trail lost 8-1 to Pleasant Grove. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since February 18th.

Monterey Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah Whipper, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Monterey Trail has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Pleasant Grove now has a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Monterey Trail will be taking part in a tournament against East Union at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will square off against Cosumnes Oaks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
