Basketball Recap: Southaven Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southaven can now relate to. They took a blow against the Tupelo Golden Wave on Friday, falling 77-37. The Chargers have struggled against the Golden Wave recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Southaven's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Tupelo, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Southaven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tupelo, they will take on Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hernando will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tupelo surely won't give up without a fight.
