Basketball Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short

Mount View fought the good fight in their overtime match against Mingo Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mingo Central Miners. The Golden Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Mount View still got an impressive performance from ZyMir Martin, who posted 32 points. The dominant performance gave Martin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ky'Rece Hughes, who scored 15 points.

Mount View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mingo Central, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Mount View has already played their next contest (against Maranatha Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mingo Central will square off against Belfry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belfry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
