Softball Preview: Clawson Trojans vs. Cousino Patriots
The Clawson Trojans will square off against the Cousino Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Clawson took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Roseville a 10-0 shutout. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Meanwhile, Cousino got the win against Redford Union on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-0.
Payton Hewitt and Davi Wieczorek made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hewitt pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hewitt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
