Basketball Recap: DASH Takes a Loss

DASH suffered their biggest loss since December 17, 2024 on Monday. They were outmatched by the Oak Forest Warriors and fell 67-40. The United have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why DASH lost, don't look at Stephen Edwards. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Jackson Workman was another key player, putting up seven points.

Oak Forest was led to victory by Ryder Zingelmann and Tyler Woolard. Zingelmann dropped a double-double with 30 points and 12 boards, while Woolard dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Zingelmann's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Robert Peters, who had eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, DASH fell to 6-1. As for Oak Forest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

DASH wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-54 defeat against South Wake on the 5th. As for Oak Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-37 victory against Southside Christian on the 4th.
