Volleyball Recap: Ojai Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against Hillcrest Christian

Ojai Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hillcrest Christian Saints on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Spuds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-5, 25-9.

Hillcrest Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.

Looking ahead, Ojai Valley will look to defend their home court on Monday against Delphi Academy. As for Hillcrest Christian, they will head out to square off against Newbury Park Adventist at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
