Basketball Recap: Bolivar Central Takes a Loss

Bolivar Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Fayette Ware Wildcats 67-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Wildcats since January 29, 2021.

Ke'Miyah Buggs was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 12 boards for Fayette Ware. With that strong performance, Buggs is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Morgan Crutcher, who posted 14 points along with five boards and three steals.

Bolivar Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Fayette Ware, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bolivar Central will venture away from home to square off against Haywood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayette Ware, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bolton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
