The Mountain Heritage Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the A.C. Reynolds Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
While Mountain Heritage's victory against Erwin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Warriors 38-36.

Maggie Neill had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Kiana Adams, who posted three points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, A.C. Reynolds took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-21 win over Charlotte Country Day School.
Mountain Heritage better focus on containing Addy Mitchell and Tait Harvey as the pair were huge in A.C. Reynolds' win. Mitchell almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards, while Harvey went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points. Clementine Ball also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
A.C. Reynolds smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Mountain Heritage's record now sits at 3-0. As for A.C. Reynolds, their record is now 4-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mountain Heritage has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like A.C. Reynolds struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Mountain Heritage against A.C. Reynolds in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, as the squad secured a 79-42 victory. In that matchup, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 50-24, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
