Basketball Recap: Hicksville Comes Up Short

Hicksville lost against Antwerp back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hicksville Aces took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antwerp Archers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Aces came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Archers are ranked 684th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hicksville and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Antwerp, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Hicksville will face off against Edgerton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Edgerton will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hicksville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Antwerp, they will head out on the road to take on Tinora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
