Gibbs proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 49) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Halls Red Devils, sneaking past 24-21. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Although Halls took the loss, they still got scores from Ezra Hastings, McKylus Daniel, and Cooper Faust.

Gibbs' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Halls, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Gibbs will be playing at home against Alcoa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Halls, they will face off against Powell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Red Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season.
