Seton Catholic Central took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Chenango Forks, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Saints narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Blue Devils 3-2.

Meanwhile, Yaeger pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Dempsey went 2-for-6 with one run and one double, while Yaeger got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base was Yaeger's first of the season.

Seton Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Chenango Forks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
